Trusting God in Difficult Times


What are Trials and Tribulations Walkthrough meaning in Greek and/or Hebrew:

Testing, trying, or putting to the proof is a trial of one’s faith in trusting God in difficult times. 

The closest word we can find in Hebrew to closely resemble the idea of going through a trial is the word amad OT 5975, which means literally to stand, or in some contexts, it means to endure, to stand fast, to stand firm, to stand still.

The word Tribulation is only found one time in the Scriptures and it comes to us through the Greek word thlipsis  (NT:2347) which means pressure,  also, anguish, burdened, persecution,  trouble.

The words conflict and or affliction are word #205 in the OT, and it is the word aven, which means [to pant (hence, to exert oneself, usually in vain; to come to naught); strictly nothingness; also trouble, vanity, wickedness].

Brokenness Through Trials and Tribulations Walkthrough! Why We Go Through Them, How to Survive Them and See God Amid Our Trials and Gain Wisdom and Understanding.  Through Trials and Tribulations, you see areas in your life that need to be sanctified, but many times, with broken hearts from hurts, traumatic events, abandonment, and betrayals, it is hard to see what God is doing in your life.  In Isaiah, there is a promise for all of us:

In Isaiah 43: 2-5 "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: will I give men for thee, and people for thy life."

Two Choices To Choose During Trials and Tribulations Walkthrough

A great book by Smith Wigglesworth, and he said to indeed be used by God, you have to be broken.  Brokenness comes in many forms and ways.  When you go through betrayal, loss of reputation, being used by Christians, hurt, or significant loss, you have two choices: either forgive and praise the Lord through it or become bitter.  We must decide to praise the Lord and thank the Lord regardless of what it looks like.  Another Trials and Tributions Bible Quote.

Going through trials and tribulations, our heart is more tender than bitter.  I still wonder why people act the way they do.  But the answer is they are human and reacting to their beliefs.  What they see is sometimes true, but it is proper for them. Again, we do not fight flesh and blood. We must obey God and do what he wants us to do. It can be challenging. Sometimes, our heart wants to expose the person who hurt us. 

There was a time when I was in a partnership in ministry. At first, it was great. But then, it went south. I've learned that partnership, besides marriage, only works sometimes. The Lord had other plans for me to move on to another type of ministry. I did it in obedience. Did the other person understand? Not at all. Lost the friendship that broke my heart. I worked with the board of directors, but she didn't like that I moved on. She became bitter towards me. 

We say, “God, why when was I following you?”  Then you learn what you go through; regardless of whether it is true, brokenness does occur.  Brokenness is good as long as it does not turn to bitterness.  Brokenness pulls up what is truly in you – flesh or spirit.  How do you react when others accuse you of not being true?  Trials and tribulations build character.  Will you forgive those who accuse you when it is not true?  Trials and tribulations test your faith to be obedient to God regardless of the cost of what others believe. 

At times, we can lose friends at all levels, sometimes many because of associations, etc.  God is an excellent God, full of love and tenderness.  He provides new friends, family, etc., that are much healthier because God has to be the center of your existence. Out of my brokenness, I had to look at the sin in me that I would have never seen except through brokenness.   I used to build friendships out of order.  God has to be your all and not people.  We serve a jealous God.

During the trials & tribulations, fear will creep in. In our time of decision to do it God's way, a fear of man sets you up to be controlled by others. We must watch our hearts to keep them pure during complicated friendships and partnerships. Don't blame the other person for what has happened.  I had to look in the mirror and see what was in me for a relationship to be built wrongly. We go through life trials and tribulations since God is doing work in us.  Trials and tribulations walkthrough only last for a short while, but the Lord himself restores, confirms, strengthens, builds character, and establishes you back to Him according to 

Trials and Tribulations Bible Verse

1 Peter 5:10 ESV

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and set up you.”  It is the trials and tribulations walkthrough that God is there with you.

Going through the trials and tribulations walkthrough, you must stand fast in prayer and pray constantly to keep your heart right, especially when others try to destroy you because they are hurt and don’t understand the intent.  Your heart often becomes broken, but you can forgive those who break your heart. Romans 12:12 ESV

Our Attitude During Trials and Tribulations Walkthrough

Rejoice in hope, be patient in trials and tribulations, through, and be constant in prayer. The Lord is so good.  He reminded us constantly that the temptation will not overtake us.  When you are going through tribulations, the enemy tempts you with temptations to get back at the other person through accusation, ugliness, etc.  Instead, I continued prayer because I knew my answer would not be accepted.  We must refuse to use any allegation against the person who hated us or believed what they believed was true.  Another promise from God about trials and tribulations is in 1 Corinthians 10:13.

 

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also give the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Trusting God in All Circumstances


We must follow the Lord by trusting God in all circumstances no matter what is going on. When I left the ministry because the Lord told me to lay it all down, I didn’t care if I ever prayed for another person or ministered.  I was okay with being a bump on the log and no one in the kingdom.  I wanted it to be that way, but the Lord would not let it go.  He kept sending me people constantly.  Even people from the other ministry, I had to turn them down because it would not be fair and unethical. I was going to be as honorable as I could be.  It was hard since these people were desperate.  I had to pray to make sure I did not give in.

Our reputation is at stake during these times. So, follow the Lord and become as ethical and reputable as possible. Make sure you pray for the other person that you may be leaving for another adventure the Lord wants you to do. They are hurting and often don't understand. You will have accusers. Didn't Christ? 

Through our trials and tribulations, walkthrough tests, it stretches to take us to a place of tenderness and the wonders of God’s goodness.  We must see Him in a different way I’ve never seen before.  So, trust the Lord and allow Him to guide our steps.

Discernment - Spiritual Discernment

What is spiritual discernment?

It means “to understand or know something through the power of the Spirit. … It includes perceiving the true character of people and the source and meaning of spiritual manifestations." Spiritual Discernment guides the Scriptures, “Discernment, Gift of Scriptures for true knowledge that comes above."

The Gift of Discerning of Spirits


The Bible speaks of the gift of discernment, or distinguishing, of spirits. Paul wrote the following to the church at Corinth.

To begin with, the gift of discernment or distinguishing of spirits is only mentioned once in the New Testament. The nature of the gift is not explained or defined. Consequently, Bible-believing Christians understand the gift in different ways. 

Discerning and Evaluating Prophesies

It was a special gift to discern whether those who prophesied were speaking from God.
The gift was given to distinguish between the Holy Spirit and the working of evil spirits.
There is also the view that the gift incorporated these abilities and many others.

Those who are in the Charismatic churches are familiar with prophetic words. We are told not to believe but to evaluate words of prophecy.

Since discernment of spirits is mentioned after the gift of prophecy, it provides an immediate clue as to its function. It is the ability to determine between what was a genuine revelation from God and what is false.

Personal Prophecy

(1 Timothy 4:14-15, HCSB) Do not neglect the gift that is in you; it was given to you through prophecy, with the laying on of hands by the council of elders. Practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all.

The Bible warns believers about Satan’s deceptions. So, how should we treat prophetic words or personal prophecy? Take it to the Lord. 

  • Try to record the prophetic word. 
  • Transcribe the word of prophecy.
  • Meditate on the Word
  • Check if it aligns with God's Word, or does it go outside the Bible?
  • Take it to an elder if unclear for them to pray about it with you.

Prophetic words can be instant fulfillment and, often, in the distant future of maturity. To properly bear witness to a prophetic word, we must be able to discern between our human soul and our spirit.

The soul is where emotions, reasoning, imagination, physical senses, and feelings are.

When God's Spirit bears witness to our spirit that a personal prophetic word of God is correct and according to His divine will and purpose, our spirit reacts with the fruits of the Spirit.

Prophecy can be a new revelation or, often, confirmation of what the Lord has shown you. God will speak through prophecy to confirm things He has already spoken to you in your spirit. If the prophecy is of God, it will all come to pass, and we will fulfill God's will.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, Being Connected to God

He will direct your path to stay on the right path
He will give you discernment about others' intent
He will let you know if there is danger. I remember when I was in New Orleans doing an outreach for the lost during Mardi Gras.

Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, He will give you insight into His word.

Exodus 25:40 And see to it that you make them according to the pattern shown on the mountain. What is this saying? 

He gives us wisdom and insight into His word. Pattern means - Hebrew Transliteration: tabnith - 
According to all that I shew thee, [after] the pattern of the tabernacle,

He saw heaven. John saw the same thing. 

Moses saw the layout of the tabernacle. John saw it as well. 

Revelation 4 has drawn our attention to the throne of God as we look into heaven. God is seated on the throne and he is active. From the throne come flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. These images symbolize God’s action, in particular his judgments, against the earth. The brilliance of the throne room is overwhelming. We have seen the glimmer of crystals and fiery red colors on the throne. John sees a rainbow around the throne that shines like an emerald. There is a sea of glass like crystal before the throne and there are 24 elders seated on 24 thrones that are around the throne. Also around the throne are four living creatures. 

As John looks he sees the four living creatures around the throne. Each of them have six wings and are full of eyes all around and within. But turn your attention away from what they look like and listen to what they say. “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.” How often do these four living creatures say these words? John tells us that these creatures say these words day and night. They never stop saying these words. Can you visualize the scene? Can you hear the repetition? A double repetition signifies an emphasis on the word. A triple repetition designates a superlative and calls to our attention the infinite holiness of God. It must not be lost upon us this is the only characteristic of God that is repeated three times. We never read, “Love, love, love, is the Lord God Almighty.” We never read, “Anger, anger, anger, is the

What is Discernment

KNOWING WHAT DISCERNMENT ISN'T - WILL TEACH you WHAT IT IS.

I. Definition of Discernment:

Hebrews 5:14

"But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to DISCERN both good and evil."

· DISCERN - greek G1253 = From G1223/G2919 - to separate thoroughly, to withdraw from - oppose, to discriminate, discern, judge…..

· Senses - 145, from 143 - to apprehend correctly by the senses. Discernment.

DISCERNMENT - is keenly selective judgment. It's distinguishing - distinguishing what?

The Gift of Discernment


What is it we're called to discern? Both good and evil.

How do we identify good?
How do we identify evil?
From God's word. Right

DISCERNMENT brings us to a place of observation of spiritual principles.
DISCERNMENT is just the opening of the door to understanding.

II. 3 kingdoms:

a. God's kingdom - the 3rd heaven - Righteousness, Peace, and Joy - How do we know that? God's word reveals it.

b. Satan's kingdom - the 2nd heaven - envy, jealousy, accusation.
How do we know that? Because God's word reveals that.

c. Earth - the 1st heaven, where we dwell

Satan was kicked out of heaven. He lives in 2nd heaven. He is invisible; we aren't to go into that kingdom. If you see physically into it, you have divination.

Without going through the SIN AND SPIRIT WORLD REALITIES teaching, we know that sin entered the world through Adam and Eve.

What is sin? A Being, an evil spirit - Entered through Disobedience to God's Word.

Isaiah 1:19
"If we are willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land."

II: TWO LAWS OPERATING IN THIS WORLD:

a) LAW OF GOD - GOD'S NATURE - GOOD
b) LAW OF SIN - SATAN'S NATURE - EVIL

Paul states in Romans 7:7
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid, Nay, I had not known sin, but by the Law; for I had not known lust, except the law had said, thou shall not covet."

  • God's Word is the law of God -
  • Paul says in Romans 7:22
  • "For I delight in the Law of God after the inward man; but I see another law in my members warring against the Law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
  • The law of sin - the evil spirits manifesting in us.
That is the works of the flesh.

Resurrecting of the Mind

Flesh has 2 meanings:
1. Flesh - unrenewed mind lining up with the programming of thoughts by devils of the past.
2. Flesh - the indwelling presence of evil spirits by their nature

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Having discernment will bring us freedom from the sins of the flesh.

How to Renew The Mind

Satan puts the negative thoughts against God's law. You have to recognize the enemy's lies and put out the fiery darts through the word of God. It takes studying, reading, and quoting God's word of truth, even if you don't feel it is true until it becomes the truth.

Galatians 5:18
"If we are led by the spirit, we are not under the law. Now, the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these. Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

Where else can we see his kingdom manifestation?


Mark 7:21

"For from within out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciouvousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man."

II Cor 7:1
"Having therefore, these promises, dearly bellowed let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

Promise without discernment is still bondage.

I'm teaching here about discerning between evil and good. Seeing and discerning what's operating in us or out there in others.

Example of Discernment


  • when the Spirit of Accusation in another comes railing at you because they may have rejection,
  • you recognize it, separate them from it, and step back in the spirit and just say,
  • "gee, I'm sorry you don't feel loved."
  • Take your peace. Don't become one with that Spirit of Accusation.
  • You are discerning good from evil.
IV. IMPORTANT TO WALKOUT

Discerning of Spirits

will bring deliverance and peace, and you'll be an overcomer.

Revelation 21:7
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers and whoremongers, and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the 2nd death."

We're seeing repeated here several words.

· SORCERER
· IDOLATOR
· LIAR
· FEARFUL

We've already taught you this. This is Satan's nature - recognize it.  You're discerning between good and evil….you are judging between the 2 to discriminate (make a distinction) (tell the difference) between the 2.

 I'm sharing this because when I came to this ministry - I was looking for the evil spirits….in the 2nd heaven. That's what I learned when I first got saved. But that’s operating in Divination. We must truly understand what discernment is.

 It's knowing God - His word -knowing the Godhead.

Proverbs 1:7 - "The fear of the LORD, is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

What happens when we don't have knowledge?

Isaiah 5:13 - "Therefore, my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst."
A. DISCERN WHO'S SPEAKING TO YOU

II Cor. 10:5 - Remember "casting down vein imaginations and everything that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God….."

DISCERNMENT is a gift. The kingdom of God needs to bring deliverance. I was just stuck in an occultic modality that I'd not been delivered of.

I was looking for the wuwuuw. In God's word, He's revealed to us all those yucky puckies.

Ephesians 6:11-12 - "Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

 Here we have the 4-tier bureaucracy of Satan's kingdom:

1. Principalities - the Greek word means CHIEF
2. Powers - FORCE
3. Rulers of darkness of this world - A WORLD RULER
4. Spiritual wickedness in high places - DEMONIC SPIRIT INIQUITY IN SKY

 IMPORTANT:
You can read about principalities in Daniel 10: - he prayed for 21 days -

We don't go into the 2nd heaven to fight over cities because the principalities over cities ARE there because of the sin of the people.

Different cities have different principalities. The way for principalities to leave is for the people to repent for past sins. Like Daniel did for the sins of the forefathers. And then the angel was able to come.

Principalities have legal grounds because of the people's sins in that particular town. It could be greed.

example,
· There's a massive principality over Dallas because of Freemasonry. This creates greed for money and a lot of conspiracies, like JFK being killed. There is Pegasus (flying horse) - Greek Mythology: a horse with wings, born of the shed blood of Medusa
· so occultism is over the city since it's a landmark.
· Greed will not leave until the people repent, turn from their ways and remove the Masonic stuff.

THE CURSE: MUCH ATTACK, DISEASE, INFERTILITY

Let's look at some of the wiles (methods) of the devil revealed in God's word.

1. The Devourer:

Malachi 3:11 "I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit beore the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts."

2. The tempter
Matthew 4:1/Luke 4
"Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."

3. Dumb spirit
Matthew 9:32-33
"As they went out behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out the dumb spake and the multitudes marveled saying, it was never so seen in Israel."

4. Accuser of Brethren

Revelations 12:10
"…And the accuser of the brethren was cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

5. Unclean Spirit

Luke 4:33
"And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil and cried out with a loud voice."

6. The Betrayer
John 13:2
"And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simons son, to betray him."

There are many more - I suggest you let Father God reveal them to you………

As I continued to recognize these SPIRITS manifesting - the works of the flesh - I was able to get deliverance, and get set free.

Evil spirits dwell in the 2nd heaven, but manifest in the 1st heaven where we live. They need a body to manifest. Again we aren't called to go into the 2nd heaven.

We must be able to discern both good and evil. God is good. Satan is evil….
Satan uses fear, fear of him to keep you from dealing with him - NO FEAR

I John 4:4
"Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world."

I John 4:8
"For God is love. In this was manfest the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world that we might live through him."

We're going to talk about the good fruit another time. But it's important for you to DISCERN the bad fruit.

Again, knowing what is not of God will give you discernment to know what is of God.

STUDY YOUR ENEMY:

II Cor. 2:11
"Lest Satan should get an advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices."

· As you read the word, study the enemy -
· We send our troops to war after we train them.
· That's why many Christians get into trouble -
· they go where angels fear to tread………….

John 10:10
"Satan is a liar, a thief, a murder……..he came to steal, kill and destroy."

When you see these manifesting, you've seen his kingdom.

Sadly, Satan has blinded the eyes of many -

John 12:40
"He (satan) hath blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, and be converted and I should heal them."

II Cor. 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them."

NOTICE: blinded by unbelief…….here we discern Satan at work.
· When dealing with people, recognize if they're blinded,
· don't strive with them - that brings every evil thing
· Pray, release and bless them. This brings you peace
· With yourself, ask Father God to show you any areas you may be blind in
· Do not believe every spirit

I John 4:1
"Beloved believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

III. Strife is a counterfeit for discernment.
· Discernment comes as a servant.
· Is gentle, patient, meek.
· When we strive, we've forgotten to cover them in love.

II Timothy 2:24
"And the servant of the Lord must not strive, but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient. In meekness, instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth."

IV. Judging is a counterfeit of Discernment:

· Beware of Judging - and calling it discernment
· It's easier to see a SPIRITUAL DEFECT in someone else before you see it in yourself
· I've learned that when I judge - it's because I know that spirit and it's operating in me.

Romans 2:1
"Judge not lest ye be judged. With what measure ye judge ye shall be judged. For wherein thou judgest another, thou condemest thyself, for thou that judgest doest the same thing."

· We need to discern the motives of our own heart first, and love others

I Cor. 11:31-32
"For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged we are chastened of the Lord that we should not be condemned with the world."

V. Divination is a counterfeit of discernment:

Let's look at divination.
· what is it?
o It's being an oracle.
o A diviner.
o Divination is occultic.
o Divination is at work in churches posing as the Holy Spirit.

Satan knows the Word better than us. He's been around a long time.

A. A person with a spirit of divination is
· Looking for recognition - may actually be correct
· Has a nature to be pushy, controlling
· Remember: Satan was transformed into an angel of light, sometimes its just hard to discern
· Speaks not for benefits of others, but itself

B. How to discern Divination operating.
· Watch, observe, listen over time
· Discernment comes as a servant
· Divination comes as the Holy Ghost to everyone who'll listen
· Tries to control every situation, especially in the church
· It’s a counterfeit to the holy Spirit

C. Dealing with Divination:
· Make sure you stay in the nature of the Holy Spirit.
· know God's word
· Don't be too quick to let people lay hands on you.
· Example:

If you have a desire for a person's spiritual gift, and they're operating in a spirit of Divination, that can be transferred into you by laying on of hands.

· Listen and hear what they're really saying - is it sensual, earthy, is it a feel good thing?
· Discernment is not done in the flesh…..
· Divination is a fleshy - feel good thing, sensual.
· "Oh I feel so good around it."
· That can mislead you.


IMPORTANT: Wanting an instant answer from God opens you up to this spirit of divination. Leaving your mind vacant, allows spirit guides to come in. Guard your mind always.

EXAMPLE:

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN A GROUP OF PEOPLE,
YOU ASKED ONE PERSON DIRECTIONS,
AND YET ANOTHER PERSON ANSWERs?

This is why we have relationship with the Godhead.
John 10:4
"my sheep know my voice, and they will not follow another."

Know God, Know Jesus Christ, Know the Holy Spirit. Have relationship with Him.
Know the WORD>

DISCERNMENT:
· Gift of the Holy Spirit
· Edifies the Church
· Waits on God's timing and direction to speak or act
· Speaks for the benefit of others
· Comes as a servant
· Matures by reason of use, with experience bringing added wisdom and a sense of timing
· Waits to be brought into a place of service
· Submits what he thinks he's hearing from God to leadership, is accountable, allows checks and balances to safeguard against following a deceiving spirit
· Leads by example
· Rests in who God is

Divination:
· Occultic counterfeit of the gift of the Holy Spirit
· Evil infiltrating many churches
· Drives to tell what it knows
· Speaks as an oracle, a "Knowing One," out of a need for personal recognition
· Pushy, controlling,
· plays Holy Spirit to everyone around him.
· Comes as an angel of light, creates an atmosphere of spirituality but brings division thru counsel against counsel.
· Tries to position self in a role of authority, usurps control of bible studies, prayer groups, churches
· Cops attitude if left out of anything
· Can involve a linking of evil spirits to bring agreement and may actually have some correct information because the enemy knows what that Kingdom is doing in the situation
· Becomes angry when not obeyed
· Tries so hard to be Godly, they actually try to make something happen for God

Discernment will take you to maturity.
Discernment is not judging, it's not divination, its knowing the Word.

It's relationship with the Godhead.
There's a word that Paul uses in the Word - perceive. I believe that’s a great word

Acts 8:23
"For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.

Perceive - G3708 = hor-ah'-o
Properly to stare at (compare G3700), that is, (by implication) to discern clearly (physically or mentally); by extension to attend to; by Hebraism to experience; passively to appear: - behold, perceive, see, take heed.

Know the Word. Discern between good and evil……………..Guard your heart.

Our goal is to be Like Jesus Christ. We're going on from glory to glory. We are being sanctified, which is our following teaching.

Phil. 1:0
"And this I pray that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge (discernment) and all judgment."

Col. 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge (discernment)
After the image of him that created him."

Based on Galatians Fruit of the Spirit - Gal. 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…"


Scripture reveals nine fruits of the spirit that inevitably result from God's presence and control in our lives. Are you yielding to or quenching the Holy Spirit?


The fruit of the spirit is




•love (agape);

Love - "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:16). Through Jesus Christ, our greatest goal is to do all things in love. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
•joy (chara);

Joy - "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2).
•peace (eirene);

Peace - "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13).

•patience (makrothumia);

Longsuffering (patience) -- We are "strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness" (Colossians 1:11). "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2).
•kindness (chrestotes);

Meekness - "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" (Galatians 6:1). "With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love" (Ephesians 4:2).
•goodness (agathosune);

Goodness - "Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power" (2 Thessalonians 1:11). "For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth" (Ephesians 5:9).
•faithfulness (pistis);

Faith (faithfulness) - "O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth" (Isaiah 25:1). "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith" (Ephesians 3:16-17).
•gentleness (prautes);

Gentleness (kindness) -- We should live "in purity, understanding, patience, and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left" (2 Corinthians 6:6-7).
•self-control (egkrateia).
 
Temperance (self-control) - "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love" (2 Peter 1:5
 
Where in the bible does Paul give us a list of the "Fruit of the Spirit"?
 


The most famous Bible passage about the fruit of the Spirit is in Galatians 5:22, where the apostle Paul gives us a list of fruit. (Paul was into making lists.) The list is meant as a contrast to the list of the 'deeds of the flesh' found in 5:19-20. The spiritual fruit list is clearly not intended as an exhaustive description of the fruits, but was given to highlight the fruits that Paul wants the Galatian church to keep in mind. He lists the following nine fruit of the Spirit:
 
Are the "Fruit of the Spirit" attributes of God? Yes but also mean we are in the spirit and not in the flesh.
 
In Phillipians 4:8, what does Paul advises us to think on what things?
•true;

•noble, or worthy of high esteem (semnos);

•just;

•pure;

•lovely (prosphiles);

•of good report (euphemos);

•of any virtue, or excellence (arete);

•worthy of praise (epainos).
 
In Colossionas 3:12-16, what is the church members are told to put on (wear) these things?
•tender mercies;

•kindness;

•humility or self-smallness (tapeinophrasune);

•a heart of compassion (oiktirmos);

•gentleness;

•patience.
 
What else does the Fruit of the Spirit further instructing us to do?

•bear with one another;

•forgive one another;

•love;

•let the peace of God rule their hearts;

•be thankful (eucharistoi);

•have God's Word live in them abundantly;

•teach and admonish one another;

•sing with grace in their hearts.

All this character stuff is to be done in Jesus's name to further the purposes He came for.


What makes the Fruit so Important?
 
These fruit lists describe what a Christian's character grows into, over time. Fruit of the Spirit - Visible Growth in Jesus Christ


"Fruit of the Spirit" is a biblical term that sums up the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life. Using the King James Version of Galatians 5:22-23, these attributes are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. We learn from scripture that these are not individual "fruits" from which we pick and choose. Rather, the fruit of the Spirit is one ninefold "fruit" that characterizes all who truly walk in the Holy Spirit. Collectively, these are the fruits that all Christians should produce in their new lives with Jesus Christ.

RECAP


1. You can't be godly apart from the Spirit; you're just not at that level, and not that kind of good.

2. We are naturally hell-bent on getting what we desire. This inner drive can twist even the best side of you.

3. God has a different way and wants you to follow it. Since you can't, the Spirit grows you up, cleans you up, and makes good ('fruit') come from you in the manner of Jesus Christ.

4. Where there is 'the fruit of the Spirit', the Spirit is at work. You can trust this truth.

5. Each person in the Spirit has the fruit differently, and each fruit has a different shape in each person -- but all the spiritual fruits will show themselves in each Christian as they go deeper into their walk with the Spirit.

Daniel - Are You Willing To Go Through The Fire


Daniel in the Fire


This is for those who have gone through the deliverance and healing classes.

Daniel 3 - Be willing to face your fire (it allergies, fear, Agoraphobia - how about lust such as addictions of the flesh ). When we face our fears and are willing to walk through the fire, comes victory. Don't allow fear to rule your life. Learn to develop more fear of the Lord. Fear means sculpturally = reverence and willingness to obey Him over any cost like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They had more fear of the Lord than of Nebuchadnezzar. They knew the scriptures of who to serve even when bonded in a strange land where God was not known. Fear = Sin, and the opposite of fear = Faith. It takes faith in the Lord to walk you through areas that have power over you. If you are afraid, apply the 8rs to your circumstances and remember to press into the Father's Love. Perfect love casts out fear.

Going through the fire = sanctification! This means dying to self, dying to your flesh and dying to the control the enemy.

"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Romans 8:13-14

Dying to self is a never-ending process. I have to continually ask God to show me what needs to be removed in my life. I want to be used by Him. To be used, I need to offer my body as a living sacrifice. It has to be acceptable to Him. I've had to face the fact that I must decrease so He can increase. I am learning to deal with the fact that my feelings and wants are not the most important things if I am to be used by God.

What Is In Your Mind?
Freed from Sin? Really?

Isn't it time to take away the power from the enemy and have power in Christ?

Daniel 3:

1. Nebuchadnezzar, the king, made an image of gold, whose height was three cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, governors, captains, judges, treasurers, counselors, sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces to dedicate the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

3 Then the princes, governors, captains, judges, treasurers, counselors, sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to dedicate the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up, and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

4 Then a herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

6 And whosoever does not fall down and worshippeth shall, at the same hour, be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

7 Therefore, at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.

9 They spake and told the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live forever.

10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:

11 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.

14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

Are You Deceiving Yourself?


"For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself." Galatians 6:3

COMMENTS: I used to think I was really something. I took pride in my accomplishments and skills. I could say I was perfect at quite a few things. In fact, some things I was so good at that there was nothing else that could make me any better at them.


Within the past year, the Lord began to deal with my pride. He allowed me to be fired from a secretarial job. (But I'm a GOOD secretary!) He pointed out that I was losing things in my filing system. (But I'm VERY organized!) I was forced to stop everything and re-evaluate the situation. I reviewed my talents, accomplishments, and skills. When I was finished, I could not find anything that I was doing. God was responsible for every last one.


Without God's assistance, I was absolutely nothing. I could have said that my hard work studying in school gave me the necessary skills to be a good organizer. Without the brain that the Lord gave me, I am nothing. I could have said that the hours spent practicing allowed me to write in calligraphy. Without the hands and eyes that the Lord gave me, I am nothing. Are you getting the picture?


As long as I maintained the idea that I had made myself something special, I was of very little use to the Lord. I was also too proud to be usable by others. I was unwilling to change because of all the "hard work" I had put into things. I was only deceiving myself, as the scripture says.

Sanctification

What is Sanctification?


After you have gone through all the teachings and deliverance, it is time to apply truth in your everyday life. This application process is called Walk-Out. This is applying God's word. You see, issues will come up, and challenges will knock at your door.

You first apply the 8rs by recognizing your thoughts (what is happening now). Yes, thoughts and behaviors can be changed. Psychologists say that it takes weeks, or even months, to break a habit. Give God a little time to work on you. This is by RENEWING of the MIND with the WORD OF GOD.

Walk-out is simply the process of renewing your mind by giving your mind to God's thoughts and letting go of your fleshly thoughts. You must walk away from those old, instilled habits. You must walk out of old, ungodly ways of thinking and into new, godly ones.

You are not alone

Not all of us indeed live in a perfect, Normal Rockwell family. The more stressed and hurried your life may be, the more you must employ these simple steps. Your world may not seem quite as safe and supportive as you would want it to be. That's okay. You may now find yourself on your own in your beliefs and have no one who understands the new things you've just learned. That is normal! You may ask yourself, "How will I ever do this alone?" One, you are not alone. You have the holy spirit in you to guide you in all truth.

Give Yourself Time

This is not a quick fix, but it is for the long haul! As you walk out, you will replace wrong thoughts, behaviors, and habits with godly ones. It may take weeks, or even months, to firmly establish new habits—new means. As you appropriate your freedom day by day, your obedience will create new long-term memory patterns of righteous behavior.

Remember to get your self-worth from God and his Word, not from others and their evaluations.

Take Every Thought Captive

How does one handle ungodly thoughts such as doubt, unbelief, self-hatred, addictions, or behaviors? By holding every thought captive.

1. Recognize the thought for what it is - temptation. It takes 7 steps to sin.
2. Temptation is not a sin; it is only Satan's kingdom checking you out.

3. Take that thought captive and cast it out of your mind before it becomes your sin.

When does it become a sin? When it takes you into action - anger, isolation, silent treatment, self-pity, etc.

Why is it a sin when a man lusts because there is usually already arousal, which is an action?

For Example, if Someone throws fiery darts at you because of your child-rearing skills, you are immediately tempted to get angry and throw some fiery darts back at them. You could be tempted to take offense and feel rejected. You could feel guilty and ashamed. You could get into strife with the other person. Thus, you now have a decision to make.

You can say to yourself: "I know this is you tempting me, Satan. That is discernment from the Lord. God's word says that I should not sin in my anger. I won't go there anymore! I know that the bible says I should cast down any imagination that does not agree with God's word." 2 Corinthians 10:5.

Know the Trick of the Enemy
